Dental advisory and consulting by

Kylie Robb.

The regulatory landscape keeps moving. The right thinking moves with it.

The trigger is different for everyone. For some, it is a regulatory concern or a stakeholder raising questions. For others, it is the recognition that infection risk sits at the intersection of clinical quality, organisational reputation, and board-level accountability. Either way, you’re in the right place.

Niche Dental works alongside dental practices, DSOs, associations, and public and private health settings to strengthen clinical governance, manage infection risk, and build practice management systems that perform at every level of an organisation.

Let’s get it sorted.

“When Kylie and I started working together,
our key challenge was unpacking the relevant Standards
and translating them into something that was dentally relevant,
practical for an office-based sterilisation unit,
and aligned with both our operational and business needs.

The strategic action plan provided our executive team
with clear, practical solutions that supported our goals
for achieving and maintaining compliance.
I would describe Kylie to peers as knowledgeable, reliable,
and outcomes-focused, with a strong understanding
of dentistry and infection control
and simply great to work with.”

Why Niche Dental.

Choosing the right advisory partner is its own kind of clinical governance decision.

Kylie Robb built Niche Dental on twenty years of experience across every level of the dental system:

  • Advisory roles for the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.
  • A non-executive directorship at the Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • An academic appointment at the University of Sydney’s School of Dentistry.
  • Presenting on infection prevention and control in dentistry at the World Health Organization.
  • Twenty years supporting thousands of practice teams across Australia.

Kylie understands dental practice management and clinical governance from the inside and brings that to every engagement as a strategic partner.

A note on mandatory reporting.

Kylie is often asked whether she holds registration as a dental practitioner. It is a welcome question and reflects exactly the kind of due diligence organisations should exercise when inviting an external consultant to work alongside their teams.

In most Australian states and territories, registered practitioners hold a legal obligation to report certain matters identified during a clinical visit or engagement. Strategically, Kylie does not hold these mandatory reporting obligations. This is one of the reasons she has spent over a decade building postgraduate qualifications and independent quality and safety leadership experience across dental organisations in Australia.

Kylie is trusted by government and accreditation agencies, universities, dental service organisations, public and private settings, and dental associations across Australia.

What working with us looks like.

Every engagement begins the same way and follows the same approach, whatever the scope or complexity.

We talk.

Kylie’s first question is always the same. What has prompted you to reach out? From there she listens, asks the right questions, and works out the best path forward.

We assess.

A clear, honest picture of where your organisation currently stands against current standards, obligations, and best practice.

U

We identify the gaps.

What needs to change, what the risks are, and where the priorities sit.

We plan.

A prioritised, practical action plan built around your organisation, your team, and your operating model.

We work alongside you.

Kylie works arm-in-arm with your leadership team until the standard stops being a goal and becomes simply how the organisation operates.

Advisory engagements are selective and considered on a case-by-case basis. If you’re not sure whether this is the right fit, the easiest thing to do is reach out and have a conversation.
