On-site training.
We deliver onsite infection prevention and control training directly to practice teams across Australia.
On-site training is available on a selective basis and is considered on a case-by-case basis for the right fit. To make the most of the session, attendance is expected from the whole practice team.
What the session covers.
- The IPC regulatory landscape and professional obligations for dental practitioners in Australia
- Australia’s two-tiered approach to IPC
- Managing IPC risk to practise in a way that minimises the spread of infection
- Resources required to achieve best practice, including sharps, waste, and PPE
- Steriliser maintenance, testing, and indicator use
- Positioning IPC as a strategic asset to support quality dentistry
- Surgical aseptic technique: when and why to escalate
- And much more
This is a constantly evolving session aligned with contemporary best practice. In 2026, this includes AS 5369:2023, AS 5369:2023 Amd 1:2026, the ADA’s Guidelines for Infection Prevention and Control (5th Edition Amendment 1 2026), Ahpra’s shared Code of Conduct, and the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards (ACSQHC).

On-site gap analysis.
Gain a clear picture of where your practice stands and a practical path forward.
For practices and organisations that want a thorough, independent assessment of their current infection prevention and control systems, Niche Dental’s onsite gap analysis provides exactly that.
Kylie works directly alongside your team to assess your current IPC approach against national standards and guidelines, identify areas for improvement, and develop a clear, actionable plan to close the gaps. The result is a practice that moves forward with confidence rather than uncertainty.
These engagements are tailored to the size and complexity of your practice or organisation and are considered on a case-by-case basis.

ONSITE COURSES
Is this training suitable if we are preparing for accreditation?
Yes. Sessions are aligned to the current standards and guidelines referenced by the Dental Board of Australia, including AS 5369:2023 and the National Safety and Quality Primary and Community Healthcare Standards. Teams leave with a clear understanding of what is required and the confidence to apply it.
Can we take the team offsite for the day?
Yes. If your practice prefers to hold the session away from the clinical environment, we can work with you to find an arrangement that suits your team. Get in touch to discuss.
How is the training structured?
The session follows a consistent format built around understanding the purpose of infection prevention in the context of practising safely in Australia. It includes an engaging quiz, facilitated discussion to support sound decision-making, and practical guidance to improve workflows and efficiency. The focus is on mastering first principles so they can be applied broadly across the practice.
